Happy New Year...just a few days late!

Whew the holidays really flew by this year and it is somewhat hard to believe we are 8 days into the new year. Sadly I think most people were happy to say goodbye to 2009. For me it was the year I lost my grandfather. That was tough. I have been fortunate to have so few loses in my life up to this point. I do not have a memory of him without a smile on his face. He lived so simply yet he was the happiest person I have ever known. Though I had a big loss, I also had a big gain...a new sister. She has been here from Taiwan for about 6 weeks now and is such a joy. We had her singing along to Jingle Bells at Christmas, it was so cute!

I am so grateful for all of my wonderful clients and am truly looking forward to all of the wonderful things that 2010 has for my life. Last year I met so many great new people and got to know past clients even better. I have a lot of great couples getting married this year, so exciting! Last year I photographed a ton of beautiful bellies and it has been so fun to meet all of the new babies! I have been able to take on more high seniors and that has been really great. Such an exciting time in life graduating high school, I cannot believe how fast it goes once you do graduate. And of course I always loving children in here with their cute smilies, infectious giggles and hilarious personalities. Happy New Year!

Wedding December 19th

Merry Christmas to the new Mr & Mrs! Congratulations to Troy & Noel, they have lots to celebrate this year. They braved the cold last saturday for some beautiful outdoor pictures. Best wishes!

New products

These both came out just this year and are a great way to display your images without a frame. They come from the lab ready to hang. The first is a stand-out. They mount the print to the front of the black board. The back side has holes for hanging. As of right now they only come in 8x10, 11x14 and 16x20.

These are float wraps. They wrap the print around a padded board. The back has a small board with holes for hanging. When it is hanging it is about 1 inch of the wall. Both come with a special coating to protect the print. The float wraps come in 8x10, 8x12, 10x10, 10x20, 11x14, 12x12, 16x16 and 16x20.

My new sister..

If you did not read my Thanksgiving day post, my parents were in Taiwan last week for the adoption and as promised, here are two photos of her. She was a bit jet-lagged as you can tell from the first photo. She is 2 1/2 years old and her name is Hope Min-Chia Marie. My mother's middle name is Hope, her given name was Min-Chia and all the girls in my family get Marie for a middle name. I will post more soon, she has the cutest smile and dimples! She was shy at first but a bag of M&Ms seemed to cure that pretty fast and she was okay sitting on my lap.

Wedding October 17th

As promised here are a few more photos from Morgan & Jolene's wedding. They were predicting a rain/snow mix that day but it held off, the colors were at their peak and the sun came out for part of the day. This wedding had the CUTEST ring bearer ever! There is just something about a little boy in a tux and the bow-tie just added to the cuteness. If any of you are ever in need of a massage, Jolene is your girl. She works at The Massage Connection in Appleton and she is fantastic at what she does. Cannot forget about Morgan though whom I have named "groom of the year". He is become quite proud of his new title, so I hear :-) Best wishes!

Green Bay Botanical Gardens

For those of you that have never been to the gardens, I highly recommend it! I love shooting there during the summer but was pleasantly surprised that there were still a lot of great spots there in the fall too.
What more needs to be said about Hailey, just a beautiful girl inside and out. I had a blast with her, mom and her sister. A fun bunch! Also included a family portrait from the gardens. Cute little Jake has been coming in since he was a newborn. Those big brown eyes and long lashes...the girls are going to be chasing him soon enough!
