Gorgeous June Wedding!

Yes, sadly I am just now blogging about this June wedding but summers just get so crazy. The couple has had their proofs for several weeks now I am just behind on sharing it with the rest of the world. They really lucked out with a sunny day and no rain which seems hard to imagine lately. Part of why I am behind is I have gotten better at posting images of facebook instead. You can find my facebook page here Congratulation to Eric & Nicole!

More sweet tiny babies...

Meet Sarah! Such a tiny girl with lots of smiles (yes, I know it is really only gas but I can pretend). She has got daddy all wrapped around her finger already, he is in trouble!

Meet Ethan! This little one has the best grumpy old man faces. I photographed his parent's wedding last May so it was nice to have them come back and show off their newest family member.

Senior Portraits

Here are a few of my favorites from a recent senior session of Marissa. Such a sweet girl. She had her hair done at a salon for the session, I just love how her curls and braid turned out!

The year is half over!

Wow, hard to believe July is here already. I have been busy, busy. Lots of posts and photos to come soon. Senior session is in full swing which is great. I love getting to know them as they are all so unique in their own ways. Quite a few of them make me feel like I was a bit lazy in high school, they are in SO many activities on top of having jobs and piles of homework. Below is a photo from a wedding I shot in June, I love that she walked right out into the aisle. I think we may have a future photographer on our hands?!?

Happy 4th of July! I will also be celebrating my friend's wedding this weekend. Adam & Catie are getting married on the beach, should be beautiful! Lots of photos to come soon.

In my spare time...

As much as I love to photograph people I first fell in love with photographing landscapes, nature, buildings, anything really. Digital has brought photography such a long way but there are many days that I miss film! I recently pulled out my daylab to play around with polaroid transfers but of course, I don't decide to do this until 9:30 at night. So, I stayed up way too late...but it was worth every minute!

Polaroid transfer

Polaroid emulsion transfer. Basically you are using one side of the film for the transfer and the other side it lifted off for the emulsion transfer.

A future photographer?

I brought my niece Lexi to work with me today for bring your daughter to work day (her mom is currently a student). Had a blast taking her on a photo shoot at a nearby park, she got some great shots and really enjoyed it. Here is one of my favorites!

Miss B is all grown up

This little sweetie came in as a newborn and I know I say it all the time but I can't believe how much they change in that first year! She wasn't quite walking which is the best time to come in for the one year portraits because most times when they walk, then start to run pretty soon after.

I know my blog has been neglected lately...life has been busy as usual. Our house is on the market now which is bittersweet for us. It was our very first house and we love it and all the character but plan to move my business into the home in the near future so we need something bigger and closer to Kaukauna. I have also been keeping busy with some personal projects. I love creating art with my polaroid transfers and shooting landscapes. I am really trying to get out there more and do it since that it what first got me hooked on photography. Some pictures of those to come soon. I am loving this warm weather lately!!
